3 Offers Free Access to The Times With MBB

Subscriber only content made available to new Three customers

Times Online LogoEarlier this year Rupert Murdoch made access to the Times website subscriber only in an attempt to monetise online news for the first time, users not used to paying for online content promptly abandoned the service in droves with traffic reported down by at least 2/3 since the change was introduced. However, the Times remains one of the leading online news sources and the intention is to improve the offering to subscribers who are now paying so it seems a shame to miss out. A new offer from 3 Mobile Broadband means new customers can now try to service for free for three months and can opt to continue to access it for a discounted price of £2 per week.

The offer is available to all customers taking out a 3 mobile broadband deal between now and March 31st 2011. This includes pay monthly and pay as you go internet dongles, free laptop deals, mifi and also iPad contracts. A statement from Three's Alys Matthew said that 'As more people consumer news online, a partnerhsip with the Times is a perfect offer for our mobile broadband customers. We're happy to expand the reach of The Times online readership across the country to more mobile devices'.

Three have worked hard to differentiate their mobile broadband offering and as well as offering the highest amount of inclusive data of any network they also give free access to Twitter and free Spotify licences to tempt new users.
